Following 20 years in the hi-tech industry, from Silicon Valley to Europe, Linda Sevier decided to branch out from the corporate world by combining her technical expertise with her entrepreneurial spirit. In 1998 she founded Pagetender LLC, an Internet marketing company currently with locations in Westborough and Boylston. Over the last 11 years, Linda has helped small and medium businesses throughout the U.S. and Canada build an online presence, generate leads and grow their business.

"The Internet has completely changed the way companies market their businesses," Linda said. "There has been a shift in the industry from the traditional outbound marketing techniques of sending out advertising through news media, mailings and telemarketing to an inbound marketing strategy of bringing customers directly into businesses' websites."

The massive expansion of the Internet has made website searches more important than ever before. The web has become so vast, Sevier explained, that businesses should be striving to come up on page one of web search results.

"The best way to be found is through search engine optimization," Linda said, "... but it is constantly changing so you have to stay up-to-date with the changes. We often find that techniques that worked six to eight months ago may not work today."

Although search optimization is the first step, she said, businesses can benefit from networking online using social media like Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn and blogging.

Linda is an Inbound Marketing Certified Professional and a HubSpot Certified Partner.

"I love high tech," Linda said. "I have worked in high tech my entire career. I am happy to have the opportunity to bring my knowledge and experience to help my neighboring businesses grow."

An active chamber member since 2003, Linda serves on The Board of Directors, Co-Chairs the Chamber Technology Committee and manages the chamber's Linkedin Group.
